ANGELMOON (Angelino Albanese)

Angelino started his career in Milan in 1984, when he was only 17. Two years later he debuted with Massimino Lippoli at Biblo’s club in Riccione. He continued playing gigs in the coolest late ‘80s Italian clubs such as Pineta – Milano Marittima, Pascia– Riccione, Alien Gilda and Piper in Rome.
At the end of ‘80s, he produced the legendary Sueno Latino and, while keeping on djing, he also created the label Black Moon. During this period, he collaborated with Double Dee on the production of Found Love and with Cool Jack for the release of Just Come. These tracks reached the top of world charts (Billboard placed them on top too).
In the early ‘90s, he continued performing in the north of Italy, at popular clubs like Movida, Area City, La Scala, Alter Ego, Syncopate.
Through these years, he travelled around the world, djing at clubs and raves in the UK; he was monthly resident Dj at the Ministry of Sound in London. Angelino also played at Ibiza’s Space and Pacha, Le Circus de Paris, Zoock’s club in Singapore, Tunnel in New York. In 1991, he started the Pachanga’s club and at its opening party Paul Oakenfold and Norman J were the guest stars.
After two years, he organized and supported “House Nation”, a great event held in Jesolo. Dj Spiller and Moony debuted playing at “House Nation”, and after that success, in 1999 Angelino started a collaboration with Moony: “Angelmoon”. After this great success, he decided to live in Miami till 2002, where he played at Bar Room, Liquid and Bad clubs. In this period Angelmoon tour flew to Canada too, and Angelino performed at popular Festivals and clubs.
In Miami Angelino fulfilled his dream: he played at Madonna’s private party and had the pleasure of making Prince dance during a party at Bar Room! Once got back to Italy, he played as resident DJ at Muretto in Jesolo, at Echos in Riccione, Pacha in Sharm El Sheik and at Amnesia in Ibiza during the “Made in Italy” event.
In Italy he met some of Planet Funk musicians: Gigi, Sergio and Emilia Majello and collaborated with them, starting the Neruda’s project.
Nowadays, Angelo is located in Venice; together with Visnadi, Danny Losito and Matteo Bruscagin, he produced a track called RAIN with the Solomun label Diynamic. After that, he worked with Paul Oakenfold and they came out together with a successful production of his iconic "He's all I want", revisited with Planet 23. Afterwards, he carried out another memorable project with the independent record label Defected Records: Cool Jack's "Just Come", revisited together with Visnadi and Danny Losito
Non fare un tavolo curato da Magma
Dal 6 al 11 Giugno ospiteremo “Non fare un tavolo”, un progetto espositivo curato da Magma, un collettivo curatoriale di design.
Il progetto coinvolge designer e artisti emergenti per la promozione di una modalità
di progettazione paralella, inclusiva e sostenibile.
Non fare un tavolo mette in pausa l’utilizzo eccessivo di risorse naturali e invita 16 designer a ideare nuovi prodotti a partire da oggetti pre-esistenti, donati dalle persone del quartiere.
Per la settimana del FuoriSalone 2022 di Milano, Magma presenterà l’esposizione finale dei lavori dei designer, insieme ad un ricco programma di eventi: talk dedicate ai temi della sostenibilità e della collettività, una performance artistica ed eventi musicali.
